I am a label reader! I need to be, we all need to be. I have heart disease so it is more important for me to read labels. Yet, it is never to late to change for the better your fat intake. Trans Fats are considered to be the worst fat. They not only raise total cholesterol but also your LDL, the bad fat and lower your HDL, the good fat. French fries, fried chicken, processed foods such as cookies and donuts contain trans fats. The good fats are the monounsaturated and polyunsaturated contained in nuts and avocados. These good fats are necessary for proper body function. When reading labels look for "hydrogenated" or "partially hydrogenated"  these terms generally mean Trans Fats.
